A BBL for Breasts? Really???

Fat Transfer for Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation remains one of the most in-demand aesthetic procedures in the world and implants are no longer your only option. As it continues to grow in popularity, medical professionals have developed new techniques which include injecting your breast tissue with growth factors and fat transfer.

What is Fat Grafting (Fat Transfer)?

Most of us are familiar with the Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) where fat is eliminated from a part of the body where it is unwanted, usually the belly, back, or thighs, and it is re-injected back into the buttocks giving your booty a fuller, more rounded shape. Breast augmentation with fat transfer is done in much the same way and for the same reasons.

Advantages of Breast Augmentation with Fat Transfer

Ages Naturally

Because the additional volume comes from the patient’s natural fat cells, the breasts maintain a more natural look as you age, adapting to the changes your body goes through. In comparison, breast implants tend to be more noticeable as the body ages. Also, fat grafting requires less maintenance compared to breast implants.

Avoids Implant-Based Risks

Implant-based risks such as implant rupture, rippling, capsular contracture, are all avoided through fat grafting, as it doesn’t involve any breast implants.

Improves Body Proportion

As fat grafting involves removing fat from one area of the body and placing it another, it improves your body’s overall shape. It decreases volume in unwanted areas and adds volume to parts you want, resulting in a better-proportioned figure.

Leaves No Scars

As mentioned earlier, the fat extraction and injection process uses small puncture points, leaving no scars. On the other hand, implants require incisions during surgery.

Limitations of Breast Augmentation with Fat Transfer

Only women smaller than a C-cup are eligible for this procedure. If fat-transfer in done in women with larger breasts, there is a high probability of sagging breasts.

Fat transfer can only increase breast size by one or two cup sizes. If you want larger breasts, you will need breast implants.
Sagging breasts: A fat transfer makes breasts larger, but breasts may still sag. To get firm-looking breasts, you will need a breast lift.

Repeat procedures: You may need multiple fat transfer procedures to achieve the results you want.
